Photo Box

The Photo Box
A very popular option is to add your own photo to a box.  We have engraved photos on the lids as well as the back of the boxes.  Where the photo goes is really a matter of personal preference but here we will show you both options and go over some important things to consider.  To get started or if you have any questions you can always email us at artdept@wineforawedding.com

Option #1 - The back of a box
($99 to add photo to the back of any box):

Adding a photo to the back of any of our boxes gives 2 display options - the box design on the front and the photo appearing on the back.  The back of the box offers a nice large, unobstructed canvas to put the picture on - with no dividers cutting through the image.

Here is a closer look at the engraved image from a high quality photograph.  As you can see the engraving process makes the image slightly grainy and adds an artistic touch.  The detail that can be seen in the dress and the stripes on the suit are pretty amazing.

Option #2 - Completely custom front box (starting at $199):

Adding a photo to the front creates a completely custom box - a truly unique gift.  This option works better with some photos than others as the dividers might run through faces or important parts of the image depending on how we must crop it.  As in this example, you can add monograms, dates or other imagery as well.

Things to consider when selecting a photo:
To get the best result through the engraving process we need the highest quality and largest photo file possible.  Facebook and cell phone pictures usually won't work very well as the images are small and tend to lack detail.

Professionally taken engagement or wedding photos are usually the best option, but good quality images from a camera can work well also.  If possible we like to get the original photo at the original size it was taken - the file directly from the camera.  Both of the images in the examples started around 10" x10" at 300 dpi.  Smaller photos can still give a decent result but as image quality decreases - so does the detail and the results.

If you have any questions you can certainly email us at artdept@wineforawedding.com.  Be sure and attach the picture you would like to use and any other details or questions you may have.  We can usually respond the following business day and let you know if your photo will yield a good result.
